On Friday November 9th 2007 the Mayor of Thessaloniki Mr V. Papageorgopoulos participated at the dinner which was given in his honour by the Thessaloniki Association.

On Friday and Saturday, November 9th and 10th the Mayour Mr V. Papageorgopoulos was the Guest of Honor at the luncheon and meeting with The Right Honorable Mayor of Melbourne John So at the City of Melbourne building.

The Mayor V. Papageorgopoulos was welcomed at the Sts. Anargyroi School and the Greek businesses in Oakleigh on Saturday 10th November 2007.

On Friday 9th of November the Mayor Papageorgopoulos sat for a conference at Treasury 1 where he faced the Greek and English language press.

On Saturday November 10th 2007, the Mayor of Thessaloniki visited the Greek Orthodox Community building at Melbourne's Greek Precinct and exchanged presents with the GOCMV committee.

On Saturday November 10th the Mayor visited St Efstathios and the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Melbourne.
